Description

The story is autobiographical and describes a series of events that happened in 2022. Hugh Hadfield tells the story through the eyes of his 84-year-old father and his brother and sister, who must navigate a chaotic and fractured system as their father’s condition deteriorates.

It brings to life the state of public health and social care in England as it struggles to cope in a post-COVID, post-Brexit and increasingly unstable world. It highlights the fragility of mental and physical health in the elderly in early 21st century England.
